I have hit the ground running as the new Tumuaki/Principal of Wainuioru school and am thoroughly enjoying settling into the role. I have already had the pleasure of meeting many parents/caregivers and supporters of our wonderful school community along with connecting with our awesome ākonga and staff. 

I grew up in the Manawatū and have lived in the Wairarapa since 2008. I love the region and the easy lifestyle it offers especially when raising a young family. My husband and I married 14 years ago and together we have three children. I am passionate about education and ensuring that children are at the centre of what we do. 

We have a lot of exciting things happening this year at Wainuioru school and will share more of our goals for the year in the next newsletter. We will also be looking for community input over the course of the year.

I want to acknowledge the very warm and supportive welcome myself and the new staff have received. Ngā mihi to the Board, parents, staff, students & wider community for helping us feel so welcome.
